Fall Tablescape | Into the Woods We Go

This post is sponsored by AllModern

Fall begs for gathering and I think the most beautiful and inviting spaces can be created outside.

We have been having the most fun creating cozy spaces and “rooms” throughout our land and today I am sharing our newest space for the Farmhouse Holiday Series hosted by Ella Claire.

I wish I could take you along on all of the trails that we have created off of this space and throughout all of our land but I hope that you will come to our studio soon and walk them yourselves.

We would love to gather with you in our studio, home and land.

This past weekend we hosted a live workshop in our studio and this is the space we created for all of the students for lunch.

Lighting makes any space and I am swooning over the impact the AllModern String Lights have created in our outdoor room.

I will have to show you how gorgeous they look at night very soon (probably with friends, pizza and wine)!

I love mixing modern and vintage and rustic and elegant.

Mixing styles and textures makes a setting or a room interesting and inviting.

My sister gave us the wood slices from her land and we complimented them with our wedding china and the AllModern Wine Glasses.

Want to know a trick I have been doing? I have been using other pieces from the AllModern Daphne Gold collection and using them as candle holders. I have them sprinkled around the house and on this fall tablescape. I never use scented candles on the table and this allows the candle holder to be a gorgeous container with the candle and to dress up the table.

We also will never be cold this fall in the evenings because of the bronze AllModern Outdoor Heater.

This has allowed us to have dinner and cocktails with friends in the evenings and keeps the temperature warm and cozy.

You all know how excited we are about our apple tree🙂 and we have been using the AllModern Wooden Bowls and our apples as centerpieces in the house and on the tablescape.

All of the leaves, pine cones, branches, flowers for the table were clipped and collection from our land. That is truly the gift of fall!

Bringing together the branches, china, sheepskin, gold wine glasses, wood slices, candles and the lunches in kraft boxes from our local French Pastry shop Dream Pastries was so fun to create.

Thank you for joining me for the Farmhouse Holiday Series and letting me show you my fall tablescape!

Now, you HAVE to go see what everyone else has been creating…

Make This Your Creative Summer!

Summer to me means putting the school books aside, stopping all lessons of any kind, vacation, pool days, dinner on the patio, s’mores at night, books read and the ease of creating art wherever we are going!

If you have been a part of my The Living Studio retreats or you follow the FREE online video series…you know that I encourage everyone to carry a portable studio with them so you have no excuse not to practice and create.  I know this has changed so many things for me about not waiting for the perfect time (won’t happen), enough time (no excuse…you are already waiting for someone.  Might as well sketch while you wait) and the best supplies (stop buying more supplies and use what you have).

This summer we have THREE incredible mini courses coming up that will make THIS your creative summer!

** Starting on June 1st is Pattern Play! **

Guys, for some of you THIS course could be a game changer!  Can you imagine taking your doodles, paintings, creative ideas and learning how to turn them into fabrics, patterned papers and more!  Learn how to use Photoshop to take your art to the next level and beyond.  Bari J is a licensed artist with years of experience and beautiful ideas to encourage YOU to take the next step.

**Starting on June 8th is Nature’s Canvas **

When I first saw what artist Tania Bain was creating and then leaving for others in the woods to find and appreciate I KNEW she had to teach on my creative network!  This is the heart of what art is all about.. I have to tell you that THIS has me sooo excited to take some of my favorite woods in our area and make them even more special with art by the kids and myself.  Won’t you join us in enjoying nature, creating in new and creative ways and then the pure joy of leaving them for others to find too!

** Starting on June 15th is 2015 Summer Art Camp for Kids **

Artist and author Courtney Walsh is back this summer with ALL NEW projects and even special projects just for boys!  With an easy supply list, fun step by step directions and art projects that kids WANT to make…this will be your summer go to when the afternoon rains come or when everyone needs a break from the sun!

These courses are for you and for you to share with your children and grandchildren.

These are one week (easy to accomplish) courses that are affordable and FUN!!!

I hope to see you in class!

Brand New Online Course For Summer!

I have to tell you the backstory of how our newest course can to fruition.  Can you imagine seeing an artist making gorgeous art and then secretly leaving it in the woods for others to find, enjoy and even take?  A story started to weave its way into my world of creating and letting go.  A story of creating, blessing, walking away and then creating all over again.  This creative story made me want to make art for all new reasons.  This also encouraged me to ask her to share her thoughts and process with all of you!
Welcome to the brand new online course Nature’s Canvas {painting faces on sticks, branches and driftwood}.  This course is being taught by artist Tania Bain and will begin on June 8th.   The perfect course to inspire your creating this summer and weave your own story of creating and letting go.

If you like the crunch of leaves underfoot {peek into Woodland Girls}

It is way past my bedtime but I couldn’t go to bed without sharing my brand new art course that begins tomorrow (officially today).

Fall is my favorite time of the year because of the crispness in the air, the crunch of the leaves under foot, the bending of the golden grasses and the colors that are changing all around me.

Each fall I find a heightened sense of creativity and a pull into my studio unlike any other time of the year.

I think it is the gathering that fall brings.

Fall brings people around your table, leaves collected on walks, feathers pinned down in your journal, pine cones piled in a bowl on your table and long walks where your thoughts are more likely to wander.

Fall also brings me outside more to create and encourages my love of art with my love of nature.

Welcome to Woodland Girls {and other natural curiosities}!

Below you will see a glimpse into the mini course content.

This course is a one week course that is instantly available.

The course will be instantly available on October 27th and the content will be available for one year.
