The Beauty of France {Sneak Peek}

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

We took the children to the Littleton Historical Museum and they made apple cider, saw the animals, ate pumpkin pie, took a wagon ride and picked out their pumpkins to carve.

I can’t wait to show you the photos because it is like stepping back in time when you step on the land of this 1860s farm.

The rest of the weekend we were busy getting the new site ready for the new course.

Creatively Made Home begins in 7 DAYS!

Even though the class hasn’t started yet you can connect with the other members of the class because of the new social network we created.

The new site is AWESOME!

I only have a few more sneak peeks to go before the course starts.

Today I want to give you a peek…and just a peek into the content and projects that Tracey Leber will share.

Tracey owns the shop French Larkspur and travels to France multiple times a year to fill her shop.

Tracey is one of my closest friends.

After we had been friends for awhile I was able to finally stay at her home while I was on a trip to see my mom.

From the moment…moment…you step into the door you are surrounded by beauty and details.

Comfortable beauty.

Styling and entertaining is Tracey’s creative gift and I was able to walk through her gifting.

Each room was full of detail and little touches that were just right.

She thinks out of the box and incorporates beautiful items that complimented each other in ways you would have never thought of.

Because of all of her white I thought that maybe her home would look beautiful but feel cold…and this was not the case at all.

She has combined white with vintage salvage, linens, wood and furniture to balance it all and create a gorgeous space for her family.

It is one of the most stunning homes I have ever been in.

I was texting photos to my husband of their home the whole time I was staying.

He was laughing at me and I think a little scared that the whole house was now going to be painted white:-)

I have been back many times now and each time I see new ways that she has styled for the season or prepared her home for her family and friends.

She loves to make things beautiful just to make them beautiful….and it blesses everyone that comes in their home.

Here is a peek at the creative projects that Tracey Leber brings to Creatively Made (this is just a peek though)….

Tracey will talk about:

*Her personal journey with her home and family

*Her design influences

*How she found her own style and how she began incorporating it

*Share favorite recipes and photos of her home

*Have a live, online discussion with members of the course to ask whatever they wish about her style, home, passions.

*Share 10 project videos in different areas that are true to how she incorporates her creativity and passions in everyday living.

A peek into her project videos…

Tracey will show you how to incorporate vintage salvage into your home and also talk about what to focus on when you are starting to put your home together.

She will also show you how to make a muslin wreath that can be accented for any season.

Tracey will show you how to make the most perfect gifts for birthdays or Christmas!

She will show you how to make sugar scrubs and how to package up your gifts with all the little details that Tracey is known for.

She will also show you how to bring together a simple and beautiful table and other simple entertaining elements.

All of Tracey’s projects will be about the details, entertaining, gift giving and making your home beautiful.

Each time I get to show all of you what this course will be full of I get so excited for the course to begin!

If you are not registered there is still time!

We would love to have you join us.

We are so excited to share with you our brand new e-course!

We can’t wait to share this journey with you.

****************

When I was a little girl I would play house.

I would hang clothes on the line, pat my baby doll’s back, set a small table with care and decorate “my house”.

For as long as I can remember I wanted nothing more than to be a mom and to have a home of my own.

As a new wife I had all of these ideas of how a good wife made a home.

I had examples in magazines and on television that promoted a life that I tried so desperately to follow and accomplish.

I had the most perfect parties and the most perfect pantry.

There wasn’t a speck of dust to be found.

I must have been doing it right.  Right?

Then my babies came one after another.

It didn’t take me long to realize that the perfect home was not as important as being a good mom.

It also didn’t take too long to realize that my perfect home was making my husband miserable.

I was still a young mom and wife when I figured out that my home was not becoming all the things I truly desired.

I wanted my home to be about the people, nothing about the perfection and still about the pretty!

So all those years ago I made a choice to change how I loved our home and how better to love the people in it.

This is my journey to creating a home that reflected my heart.

This is a journey about a woman and her friends that still play house but this time it is more fun!

Join me and some of the most creative women I know for Creatively Made Home.

I chose each of these women not only because of the beautiful homes they create but how they have incorporated their truest joys in everyday life.

Each woman has a style and story all her own.

This is a five week online course that will be hosted by

Tracey Leber

Sara Duckett

Kimberly Taylor

Jennifer Rizzo

and Me …..  Jeanne Oliver

I wanted to create a course that celebrated what really matters in your home…..you and your family.

I also wanted to celebrate making life beautiful in the everyday.

I know that so many want to make their homes beautiful but feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start….so they do nothing.

I believe that everyone should be surrounded by beauty in their homes and that shouldn’t have to do with how much you spend.

I think sometimes we can get lost and distracted with everything that comes at us each day.

Sometimes things can look so perfect and we as women may feel inadequate.

It is time to exhale and delight in your home.

It is time to open your doors because of what is inside of you…not what is inside your home.

Our desire is that this five week online course will change how you see yourself, your home and your family.

* Each week you will have amazing truthful videos from not only the five teachers but other creative women.

* Each week we will take a room from one of YOU and all five women will give their suggestions telling you how they would transform the room with their style.

* There will be 50+ project videos.

These will be incredible videos that include everything from gardening, cooking, gift giving and decorating.

* There will be written tips from each woman telling you how she starts a room, picks paint, fabrics, etc.  You will learn where to start when putting your own home together.

* Tons of beautiful house photos from each of the five women.

* Videos that truly reflect what life is like in each of their homes.  The stuff that life is really about.  Believe me it has nothing to do with the perfect table setting.

* Each woman will share their own truthful journey about how they started making their home a reflection of their hearts.

* Each person registered will get an easy entertaining e-book to download.

It will contain go to recipes for beautiful and easy entertaining (they do go together), photos of table settings that take the stress out of having people over, favorite drinks and so much more (and their funniest entertaining story).

* There will be a private Facebook group to connect with other class members.

* There will be a once a week live discussion with one of the teachers!

* You will get printables and pdfs to keep and use again and again.

This course is about loving your home, loving your family and blessing those around you….and having fun doing it.

If you have taken my other courses you know how much I put into them.

This course will lavish you with ideas, beauty, inspiration, joy and encouragement!

Come and play house with us.

Class begins October 22.

Registration is now open!

Early registration price is $48 for the next two weeks.

After August 6 the price will go to $58

It is worth a trip to France {just for the flea markets}

Opening my suitcase after coming home from France was like traveling back on my journey.

As I pushed dirty clothes to the side I uncovered vintage silver, oil paintings, old French letters.

My trip brought me overflowing treasures.

A trip to France is not a regular extravagance for me.

A trip to France is a treasure in itself.

My dear friend ,Tracey Leber of French Larkspur, makes regular trips to France and now Belgium to fill her suitcases just for her shop.

If you can’t make it to France you can enjoy the treasures that spill out of her suitcases.

She just returned from a recent trip and here is a peek at the treasures she picked up.

Tracey’s photos alone are a treat to look at.

Tracey is a well known stylist who has been in countless publications.

Her home is true reflection of her love for vintage and how to use it everyday.

I hope you find a bit of France and Belgium to bring home and use in your day to day.

{I bought the French cider set and I can’t stop using them}

For the month of June I will be starting a new series called “Reflections of Paris”.

I have never shared all of my photos from my trip to Paris (two summers ago) and I am looking forward to sharing.

I am heading back with Kelly this September to celebrate turning 40 in May.

I better get these photos out before my next trip:-)

See you on Monday with “Reflections of Paris”.

Get The Look {Week Three}

Welcome to week three of “Get The Look”.

Each week I will be showing different women wearing clothes from my last collection in their own way.

You can see the previous posts HERE and HERE.

I am loving the outfits that each woman is putting together.

It is fun to see personalities come out in how people wear their clothes.

The first outfit is by Jill Hinson.

Jill has fabulous style and she is an incredible decorator.

I really like how Jill layered the Audrey French tunic over denim.

{Jill is also sporting a leather cuff from our shop}

The next outfit is from Courtney Walsh.

(Courtney is wearing the Betty ruffle tote)

I really appreciate that Courtney took the time to tell a little bit about her outfits.

She is a writer by the way:-)

“I took two different outfits. I did one in the dress with leggings and a belt and then I did one in something I’d go run errands in, or go get my kids from school. Jeans, black turtleneck, cute shoes and plain silver jewelry is 100% me…but it’s boring…so I think the ruffly purse really spices it up. It’s like, even though the foundation of my outfit is nothing special, the purse makes it so much more interesting (and cuter!) It’s like getting an adorable look without trying too hard.
The dress I would wear for something a little more special or dressy. Again, I’d put it with simple silver jewelry (this bracelet was one a friend got me for my book launch and I love it!)…it’s totally understated, but I think that kind of classic look is more me.”.

Courtney looks great belting the Louise dress/tunic and wearing it over leggings.

I recently wrote about Courtney and her new novel HERE.

Lara Blair is next wearing the Louise dress/tunic.

Can you tell she is a professional photographer?

I love, love, love the leg warmers peeking up from her boots!

It makes me smile to see Lara pairing the tunic with a red scarf.

Whenever I see something red…I think of Lara.

I am a little giddy to show you the next photos because she is so cute and LITTLE.

I adore seeing little ones in anything from my Little Jeanne line.

Last week I showed you the outfit put together by Tracey Leber.

This week I get to show you photos of one of Tracey’s beautiful daughters.

Caighton is wearing the Lila Peasant Dress.

Could she be any cuter!

I smile every time I see these photos and her little horsey purse and cowgirl boots.

Thank you Caighton for being such a beautiful model:-).

Thank you to all the beautiful women that allowed me to include them in this week’s series!

***********************************************************

Please submit photos to us of YOU wearing our clothes.

If we pick your photo you will win a $100 gift certificate to my shop!

Get The Look {Be inspired and Share Photos Yourself}

Welcome to week two of “Get the Look”.

This is a series for the month of March celebrating how YOU wear my clothing, bags and jewelry.

You can see last weeks post HERE.

This week I have not only photos from two women sharing their style but also our first $100 gift certificate (to my shop) winner.

The first “Get the Look” photo is from Tracey Leber of French Larkspur.

You probably know Tracey from her beautiful decorating blog.

Here is Tracey’s take on the Elaine knit dress.

First of all I wish I had that kind of glorious light in my home.

Tracey makes white walls look amazing!

I love the leggings and boots with the Elaine.

The second photos come from Becky Strahle of Farmgirl Paints.

Becky has a wonderful and joyful blog in which she shares her day to day life.

Here is Becky in the Louise dress/tunic.

Becky, can I have those brick steps?  Please?

Becky’s style is SOOOOO cute!

I love the headband and I have to know where Becky got those leggings!

Becky, please tell us!

***********************************

At the beginning of the series I asked my readers/customers to send in photos of themselves wearing my clothing, bags etc.

It has been so fun to see the photos.

KEEP THEM COMING!

We still have three more weeks in the series and that means 3 $100 gift certificate winners are coming up!

The winner of this week’s gift certificate is Lynne Bechard.

Lynne is wearing the Louise dress/tunic and the Audrey French tunic.

Love the looks.

Congratulations Lynne!

If your photo was not chosen don’t worry…you will be put back into the drawing for next week.

To send your own photos in please email me at Jeanneoli@hotmail.com with the subject line “Get the Look”.
