The Last Sneak Peek {Tomorrow it begins}

It has been so easy to jump up and down and tell you all about the four other hosts of Creatively Made Home.

In fact, I smiled the whole time I wrote about them.

Kimberly Taylor

Sara Duckett

Jennifer Rizzo

Tracey Leber

It is a little harder when it comes to yourself and maybe that is why I saved myself for last:-)

If you have followed my blog for awhile you know a few things about me:

I love my family, I love to create, I cherish my true friendships, I have deep faith and I delight in my home.

I love the details.

The details make everything yummy.

I shared last week what I really hope for each of the women that take Creatively Made Home.

{If you haven’t read it I hope you take a moment to read it…especially if you think this course will make you feel worse about your home}

Thank you to all of the women that sent me amazing emails letting me know how much that post meant to them.

It truly was written just for you!

The above link is my heart for the course.

I think as women we have the honor of making our homes the places of comfort, full bellies, laughter, safety, beauty, memories and so much more.

It is an honor.

It is the details that make life lovely.

It is the little things and not usually the big things that hold our hearts.

And because I am a sucker for the pretty parts of life too, the creating and the loving on my home….

Here is a peek at the creative projects that I will bring to Creatively Made Home (this is just a peek though)….

I will talk about:

*My personal journey with my home and family

*My design influences

* How I found my own style and how I began incorporating it

*Share favorite recipes and photos of my home

*Have a live, online discussion with members of the course to ask whatever they wish about my style, home, passions.

*Share 10 project videos in different areas that are true to how I incorporate my creativity and passions in everyday living.

A peek into my project videos…

I will show step by step directions on how you can alter your own lamp shades and make little changes (for next to nothing) that will make a huge difference in your rooms.

I will also show you all the ways in my home that I have incorporated the vintage linens I love so much. I don’t know if there is a room that I haven’t found a way to use them or put them on display.

I love decorating with old family photos and one of my most precious possession is the vintage silhouette of my late father in law when he was a little boy.  I found it in the bottom of a box and literally gasped with joy when I came across it. I can’t wait to show you how you can make your own silhouettes and how to even incorporate them into gifts for your families.

We have a lot of food and chemical allergies in this home and that put me on a mission to make sure that I wasn’t adding any toxins to our home.  I hope you will enjoy learning how to make your own natural cleaning projects (you probably already have everything you need in your pantry).

I am honored by all the women that have already joined Creatively Made Home and are anxious for the course to begin tomorrow.

You can still join the course.

You can even come and check out the site even if you are not registered for the course.

It is going to be an incredible, creative community.

One last reminder of what you will find in the course:

* Live discussions with the hosts each week

* We will take one of YOUR rooms each week and all five hosts will give design suggestions for your space

* Each person registered will get a simple entertaining e-book.  This will be for you to download and keep forever.

It will have recipes, photos and stories that will inspire you to open your homes and not worry about everything being perfect.

* Over 50 project and decorating videos.

* Real discussions videos about our homes, finding your style, finding contentment with what you have, true hospitality and so much more.

* Photos, photos, photos!

Modern Antiquity {sneak peek}

Are you getting more excited with each sneak peek I post?

I know I am!

I love all the emails I am getting from all of you that are so eager for Creatively Made Home (CMH) to begin!

I have shared a peek into the “farm to table” style of Kimberly Taylor HERE.

I have shared a peek into the “do it yourself ” style of Jennifer Rizzo HERE.

Today I get to share just a glimpse into the projects and style that Sara Duckett (of Sadie Olive) will be bringing to CMH!

Sara has the incredible gift of combining vintage elements with a modern twist.

She has created her own brand by effortlessly combining her love of vintage, home and photography.

Sara loves the details…and it shows in all she does!

Her creative and decorating eye brings new life to ordinary objects.

I first discovered Sara four-five years ago when I first started blogging.

I was in love with her style but also how her photography drew me in and made me want to live in the moment she had captured.

Over the years I have hired Sara again and again for design work with my business and blog and have credited this union for creating my own brand.

Lucky you that you get to see Sara in action and learn from her style.

Here is a peek at the creative projects that Sara Duckett brings to Creatively Made (this is just a peek though)….

Sara will talk about:

*Her personal journey with her home and family

*Her design influences

*How she found her own style and how she began incorporating it

*Share favorite recipes and photos of her home

*Have a live, online discussion with members of the course to ask whatever they wish about her style, home, passions.

*Share 10 project videos in different areas that are true to how she incorporates her creativity and passions in everyday living.

A peek into her project videos…

Sara will share 10 project videos but here is a glimpse into a FEW of them!

Sara will show you how to take an image in Photoshop and create your own images to transfer to pillows, purses, faux grain sacks…whatever you can imagine.

(She will also give you an image that she has created to use in your own projects)

She will share the simple art of arrangement.  I hear from woman all the time that don’t know how to display and arrange their home.

Sara will show you step by step why she chooses a specific piece, talk about balance etc.

Sara will talk about creating photo walls and creating balance with your favorite photos and art work.

Sara is known for her beautiful photography and she will share a bit about how to take better photos and then follow it up with her favorite editing tricks and techniques.

Sara loves vintage fabrics like I do and loves to incorporate them into her daily life.

She created an gorgeous bumper for her baby made out of vintage fabrics and she will share all the little details.

Are you seeing that each woman brings something totally fresh and different into this course?

Isn’t is amazing all the projects and information that you will get out of CMH?

This is just a TASTE of what is to come!

You will have five weeks FULL of advice, inspiration, photos and projects!

Registration Now Open For Our Brand New E-Course!

We are so excited to share with you our brand new e-course!

We can’t wait to share this journey with you.

****************

When I was a little girl I would play house.

I would hang clothes on the line, pat my baby doll’s back, set a small table with care and decorate “my house”.

For as long as I can remember I wanted nothing more than to be a mom and to have a home of my own.

As a new wife I had all of these ideas of how a good wife made a home.

I had examples in magazines and on television that promoted a life that I tried so desperately to follow and accomplish.

I had the most perfect parties and the most perfect pantry.

There wasn’t a speck of dust to be found.

I must have been doing it right.  Right?

Then my babies came one after another.

It didn’t take me long to realize that the perfect home was not as important as being a good mom.

It also didn’t take too long to realize that my perfect home was making my husband miserable.

I was still a young mom and wife when I figured out that my home was not becoming all the things I truly desired.

I wanted my home to be about the people, nothing about the perfection and still about the pretty!

So all those years ago I made a choice to change how I loved our home and how better to love the people in it.

This is my journey to creating a home that reflected my heart.

This is a journey about a woman and her friends that still play house but this time it is more fun!

Join me and some of the most creative women I know for Creatively Made Home.

I chose each of these women not only because of the beautiful homes they create but how they have incorporated their truest joys in everyday life.

Each woman has a style and story all her own.

This is a five week online course that will be hosted by

Tracey Leber

Sara Duckett

Kimberly Taylor

Jennifer Rizzo

and Me …..  Jeanne Oliver

I wanted to create a course that celebrated what really matters in your home…..you and your family.

I also wanted to celebrate making life beautiful in the everyday.

I know that so many want to make their homes beautiful but feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start….so they do nothing.

I believe that everyone should be surrounded by beauty in their homes and that shouldn’t have to do with how much you spend.

I think sometimes we can get lost and distracted with everything that comes at us each day.

Sometimes things can look so perfect and we as women may feel inadequate.

It is time to exhale and delight in your home.

It is time to open your doors because of what is inside of you…not what is inside your home.

Our desire is that this five week online course will change how you see yourself, your home and your family.

* Each week you will have amazing truthful videos from not only the five teachers but other creative women.

* Each week we will take a room from one of YOU and all five women will give their suggestions telling you how they would transform the room with their style.

* There will be 50+ project videos.

These will be incredible videos that include everything from gardening, cooking, gift giving and decorating.

* There will be written tips from each woman telling you how she starts a room, picks paint, fabrics, etc.  You will learn where to start when putting your own home together.

* Tons of beautiful house photos from each of the five women.

* Videos that truly reflect what life is like in each of their homes.  The stuff that life is really about.  Believe me it has nothing to do with the perfect table setting.

* Each woman will share their own truthful journey about how they started making their home a reflection of their hearts.

* Each person registered will get an easy entertaining e-book to download.

It will contain go to recipes for beautiful and easy entertaining (they do go together), photos of table settings that take the stress out of having people over, favorite drinks and so much more (and their funniest entertaining story).

* There will be a private Facebook group to connect with other class members.

* There will be a once a week live discussion with one of the teachers!

* You will get printables and pdfs to keep and use again and again.

This course is about loving your home, loving your family and blessing those around you….and having fun doing it.

If you have taken my other courses you know how much I put into them.

This course will lavish you with ideas, beauty, inspiration, joy and encouragement!

Come and play house with us.

Class begins October 22.

Registration is now open!

Early registration price is $48 for the next two weeks.

After August 6 the price will go to $58

Beginning your business giveaway {The best giveaway I have ever had}

I have a heart for women.

I am constantly amazed at the depth, quality, beauty, talent and strength of women.

I had promised myself when I first started that if I ever figured this whole thing out (and I am still learning) that I would share how I did it.

Along the way I have always tried to answer emails, encourage and support other small business owners (and dreamers).

I had questions at the beginning and so many didn’t want to give me the answers.

I didn’t have a mentor and I could have really used one.

Not because I wanted to do what they were doing….because I wanted the knowledge and support to follow MY gifts.

I have had someone try to make me feel small.

Stupid.

Not talented enough.

Everyone has.

I don’t play by those rules.

I create my own.

I want to create a community of women that I can share my heart and journey with and then in turn they will encourage and support each other.

We all know something that someone else needs.

We all have gifts that come easily for us and others struggle with….why not reach out?

In a little over 2 weeks our new e-course Building a Creatively Made Business will launch.

April 16th is the launch.

This will be a three week course where I will share my journey with my business.

The course will be open for THREE months.

You will have plenty of time to watch all of the videos and then the online community will be open as long as you all want it.

You will have an online community through the hosting site AND Facebook to connect with other small business owners and dreamers.

Last week I kept on thinking what would make an incredible giveaway for one member of the class.

Here it is!

I want to do two things.

The first thing is that I want to give away 10 spots to this class.

Here is the big giveaway!

If you are registered for the class by April 23 you will be entered into our giveaway for one registrant to win:

My favorite portable office kit

3 hours of one on one time with me on Skype or phone or email to discuss your business and dreams ( you can use this time over a few months or all at once).

This package is valued at over $1200!

I am so excited just typing this.

It means so much to me to do this for one of you that I sat down with my husband asking him what he thought about us doing this.

He was so excited too!

I wish we could do this for everyone one of you…but I truly believe the course will be amazing for all of us!

So, how do you enter?

First of all to win a spot to the class please leave a comment on THIS post telling me what you are hoping to get out of the course.

**************************

One life on this earth is all that we get,

whether it is enough or not enough,

and the obvious conclusion would seem to be that at the very least

we are fools if we do not live it as fully and bravely and beautifully as we can.

–Frederick Buechner

Get The Look {And Flash Sale Week}

This is the final week of my “Get the Look” series.

I have had so much fun showing you different women wearing some of my dresses and showcasing how THEY wear them.

I hope you have enjoyed it too.

I have three final women ready to show their own take on my clothing.

First up is Sara Duckett of Sadie Olive.

Sara is wearing my Elaine grey, knit dress.

This is what Sara had to say about the Elaine….

“First let me say I LOVE the dress. It’s such a comfy, casual, easy dress to wear. (And I don’t even wear dresses!) It’s super soft, I love the cowl neck, and the color is one of my favorites. I paired it here with my favorite super lived-in jeans, and some Anthro tapestry flats I bought several years ago. Oh, and I threw on my necklace with Finn’s silhouette and a beaded cuff bracelet”.

Next up is Shamanie Haneca.

Shamanie is wearing the Louise tunic.

The last outfit comes from Jennifer Rizzo.

Jennifer is wearing the Louise tunic.

Aren’t they all beautiful?

Thank you Sara, Shamanie and Jen for taking the time to show us your “look”.

**********************

Twice a year I have a HUGE (I mean HUGE) flash sale!

Each day THIS week (and this week only) I will offer one item from my shop dramatically reduced.

The sale on that particular item is only valid for 24 hours and then it goes back to regular price.

I think I am as excited as my customers during this semi-annual sale!

Today is the first day of the sale.

Because this is the last day of the “Get the Look” series I thought it is only fitting to have the first item be clothing.

For the next 24 hours you can get the Elaine knit dress (regularly $89) for $64.00.

This price includes shipping.

This price is only valid for the next 24 hours!

You can find the Elaine HERE.

Come back on Tuesday for the next item to be reduced for our semi-annual flash sale!

If you are not signed up for our newsletter please take a moment to register above.

You will be the first to know each day what item is on sale this week!

(regular newsletters are about twice a month)

***************************

We also have a winner for the “Get the Look” giveaway.

Cyndi Speelman sent us photos of herself on vacation wearing clothing from Jeanne Oliver Designs.

Here is what she had to say….

“My family saved for 3 years to go visit my sister in Spain. We finally went in December. I got so many compliments on the dress and found so many different scarves to wear with it, layering it over a shirt when it was cold. I also received many compliments on the camera bag. This photo is from Parc Guell in Barcelona”.

“I had to send this too-this outfit is my absolute favorite.  The Elaine knit dress is so comfy and it is easy to dress up or down”.

Congratulations Cydni…you are the winner of the $100 gift certificate to the shop.

Thank you to everyone that submitted their photos for the “Get the Look” series.
