New E-Course, Beautiful Retreat and a Little Reminder to Ask {the answer may surprise you}

I am so excited to share a very tiny sneak peek of my new e-course that will begin on April 16th!

More information will be coming next week along with a video.

I hope you will join me!

*****************************************

Last year I had the privilege of taking an art class with Flora Bowley at The Makerie.

Last minute I was able to join in on one of the day passes.

First of all the retreat is in beautiful Boulder.

Secondly, the retreat is held at the historic Chautauque.

The cabins are so unique and charming.

Ali (the amazing and creative woman behind the retreat) has thought of everything to make your creative getaway exactly that…a getaway.

Even the picnic lunches were thoughtfully put together.

You can even start your morning with yoga, hiking and other group activities.

I know that there are a few spaces left for the retreat and the it has just been announced that day passes are NOW available.

You can read more HERE.

Video HERE.

Please let me know if you end up going.

The last thing I wanted to share with you before the weekend is this sweet inspiration from my friend Lissa.

I hope you will be encouraged as much as I was.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Handmade Christmas {The Littles}

Did you know that there are only six Fridays until Christmas?

Sorry to freak you out.

The truth is that we keep Christmas pretty simple around here.

We don’t break the bank around here.

We either try to buy homemade or make it ourselves.

It means more.

At least to me.

There are so many creative and brilliant small businesses that it would be a shame not to support them and let them know we value their work.

For the next six Fridays I will be sharing some Christmas gift picks all from small business and handmade artists.

Each week will be a different theme.

Today is for all of those littles in your life.

1. Colored Pencils {these would make a sweet stocking stuffer for boys or girls)

2. Fabric Reusable Wall Decals {You have to check out this whole site.  Beautiful ways to easily transform a room and your child will love them}

3. United States Chalkboard {I want this for the boy’s rooms.  Love}

4. Cloth Doll {I may order one just for myself}

5. Felt Shoes {How precious are these and so beautiful they would be handed down}

6. Paper Dolls {I played with paper dolls for hours growing up and I love that my daughter loves them too}

7.Child’s Cowl Pattern {I will be requesting someone to make me one for Christmas:-)}

8. Crown Hairpins {One of the most unique hairpins I have ever seen. So cute!}

If you have a small business or you are make handmade items please leave your link in the comments so we can visit you:-)

Show and Tell {Bedroom Makeover}

Thank you for all of the nice comments about Maddy’s new room!

I have gotten so many emails asking about paint color, lighting, bedding etc. that I wanted to share some of the details.

If you have anymore questions just ask in the comments I would be happy to answer them on this post.

I also have six different hat boxes that someone asked about.

Three of them are from Land of Nod and three of them are covered in vintage wallpapers (bought on Etsy).

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

I am very excited that I will soon be able to offer you one of a kind custom bedding made from vintage fabrics!

Happy Weekend!

Art Among The Horses {maybe a few chickens too}

I will be traveling, with my wares:-), to Illinois next month to sell at the Na-Da Farm Sale.

I will have all my cloth items from the new line (more coming this week about that), prints, original art and jewelry.

It is fun to head “home” for a sale and get to see my family and old friends at the same time.

The sale has incredible artists coming to sell and Fifi O’Neill will be there signing her new book Romantic Prairie Style.

We have all the details figured out and I am happy to announce that I will be teaching a mixed media art class while on the farm!

One of the barns has our names written all over it and will soon be filled with tables, brushes, canvases and paints!

The class will be May 21, from 1-4:00.

I will teach step by step instructions for making my mixed media girls.

All supplies will be provided and you will leave with a completed painting.

You can sign up by emailing me at Jeanneoli@hotmail.com and making payment through paypal.

It is going to be an amazing sale.

So, come to shop and then stay for an art class. What a beautiful and fun environment to create in!

I hope to see you there!!!
