Finding The Lovely {Week One}

My friend, Kimberly Taylor, and I were looking for a fun way to document the lovely things in our lives for the month of February.

Since it is the month of love and and we do LOVE taking photos….this is the idea we came up with.

We wanted to be intentional about  looking around us everyday and finding the little things that bring great joy and are just plain ol’…LOVELY!

We wanted it to also be easy.

We didn’t want to rely on our big cameras and we wanted everyone to be more in the moment.

The truth is that sometimes when you are the one taking the photos and the one behind the big camera…you miss out on a lot.

We wanted the photos we take to be easy and fun!

For the month of February we will be sharing our lovely captures using Instagram.

Each Friday in the month of February one of us will host the photos and also offer a linky party so all of you can share your lovely images too.

Here are the rules:

1. Be present

2. Be open to the lovely things and people in your life

3. Have fun

4. Include your children and family and I know they will have fun too

5. Take your photos with any kind of phone or phone app

6. Share your favorite images each Friday on your blog and link up with us on ours.

See, that was easy.

Here are the images that made me find the lovely this week…..

I know that we are just officially launching the linky party and month of “Finding the Lovely” but I bet you already have photos on your phone you could share.

We would LOVE for you to join us.

You can link up below…..and see you next week on Kimberly’s blog for the second week of loveliness.

  9. It certainly looks like a magical week. But I knew you were magic when I met you. All these photos made me wish I had some art supplies nearby. I’d love to explore a bit outside the mediums I’m used to (those would be words and food, in case you were wondering).

  10. Love the photos for the linky party. I was unable to comment on some of the blogs. I did visit everyone, great job! This is really fun.
