All Four Love {Love Yourself}

It is easy to feel comfortable behind the lens.

I love that I am the one capturing our day to day lives.

It is different being on the other side of the lens.

This was a fun activity for me because it was out of the norm.

I have become more comfortable about it over the years I have had this blog.

{It would be strange for you to follow me, read my words and not know what I look like}

It is easy to love the beauty in others.

It is acceptable to praise them.

It is OK to talk about what you find lovely in another person.

It is also OK to love things about yourself.

I don’t mean to be prideful…to be thankful.

I am very comfortable in my skin at 38.

I don’t look at these photos and see my flaws….I see contentment and joy.

I am not oblivious to my imperfections…I just don’t need to dwell on them.

I see a body that has carried three babies.

I have scars across my stomach that made it possible for two of my babies to live.

I have breasts that have nursed all my babies and made them chubby and healthy.

I have lines across my face that prove how much I love to laugh, talk and sing.

I have hands that are not long or graceful but they make art, take care of my family and love on them all.

That is a good place to be…even in the midst of my imperfections…I am OK with them and I find them beautiful.

Now it is your turn to link up and show how you have photograped yourself this week.

Courtney and I can’t wait to see them!!

Next week will be our fourth and final week of the photo challenge and the theme is {Love Your Passion}

  1. Love these! It IS so hard to be on the other side of the camera. Even when you can see your reflection in the lens. Or maybe especially because you can see your reflection in the lens. Looks like you captured the true essence of you!

    Jeanne!
    I absolutely love this post! We often remind ourselves of our imperfections that only we see. I love that you have embraced yourself and have shared this with all of us. You have made me realize how grateful I should be for those imperfections that we have for they are apart of what has carried us through our lives. I love that I will look at my hands and know all that they have done like holding my babies, baking for my loved ones, hugging my grandmother, holding hands and creating. I am so grateful that you shared some of these thoughts with the rest of us. I was so excited to see your first video to hear your voice. To see your eyes light up when talking about how passionate you are about your art and what you create. You have created a beautiful world one that you may grow and pass this wisdom onto others and for that I am grateful. So, thank you!
